Dyson DC24 Animal - Ultra-Lightweight Dyson Ball Upright Vacuum Cleaner for Pet Owners

Dyson DC24 Animal Ultra Lightweight Ball Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner Keep your home sparkling clean with the Dyson DC24 Animal bagless upright vacuum cleaner. With high suction power, it removes dust, dirt, pet hair and other particles from carpets, upholstery and hard floors. The motorized brush bar spins up to 90 times per second to thoroughly clean your carpet. This brush bar can be turned off while cleaning delicate rugs. With Dyson's patented Root Cyclone technology, this vacuum cleaner spins air really fast, sending dirt and debris straight to the bin without leaving any trails behind. Its Ball technology allows smooth maneuvering around corners for effortless use. This multi-floor upright vacuum has a washable HEPA filter that traps microscopic allergens such as pollen, mold and bacteria from the air for a cleaner and more hygienic home. Its included wand conveniently reverses to clean hard-to-reach places. You can easily empty the dustbin with the simple press of a button. Its lightweight design makes this HEPA filter vacuum cleaner easy to carry around your home. With a compressible handle, it ensures convenient storage in small spaces.

    Root Cyclone™ technology
Conventional vacuums rely on bags to trap dust and dirt. But when you start to use some bagged machines, dust can clog the tiny holes in the bag. Some ordinary bagless vacuums work in a similar way. They use a central filter to trap fine dust, which can clog too. Suction fades, leaving dust and dirt behind in your home.
Dyson's patented Root Cyclone™ technology doesn’t rely on a bag to trap dust and dirt. Instead, it spins the air so fast that centrifugal forces up to 100,000 times the force of gravity fling dust and dirt out of the air and straight into the clear bin. And that includes the fine dust that can restrict airflow in some ordinary bagless vacuums. Unlike some other vacuums, Dyson machines don't lose suction.

    Ball™ technology for upright vacuums
Conventional upright vacuum cleaners use fixed wheels. But wheeled vacuums can be awkward to steer and can make you work a lot harder than you need to. All that back and forth around corners and obstacles. Ball™ technology is a radical alternative to fixed wheels. Dyson Ball™ vacuums ride on a ball, which pivots on itself so you can instantly change direction with just a turn of the wrist.

    Mini turbine head
The Dyson Mini turbine head has an air-driven brush bar that removes pet hair and dirt from tight spaces like upholstery, stairs and inside the car. Tiny bristles catch fine hair and fibers. A clean air turbine reduces bulk and weight and prevents obstructions. The cover is made from tough polycarbonate.

    Hygienic and quick to empty
Emptying the bin on a Dyson vacuum is quick and hygienic. Just press the button to release the dirt. The bin is clear, so you can see when it needs emptying - and how much dust, dirt and pet hair the machine has captured. Dyson vacuums were the first to have clear bins - despite market researchers insisting it was a bad idea. Now clear bins are everywhere (though not all are made from the same ABS polycarbonate as riot shields, like Dyson bins).

    Ultra-lightweight and compact
A DC24 machine weighs just 5.4kg. It's easy to carry, and the handle compresses to store in tight spaces. It may be small, but it's tough - made from the same materials used in crash helmets and riot shields. And it performs like a full-size Dyson vacuum.

    Captures allergens. Expels cleaner air.
Ordinary vacuums can’t always retain all the dust they remove – so some of them vent some of it back into your room in the air they expel. That’s the reason for the dusty, electrical smell. Dyson cyclones can capture microscopic particles such as pollen, mold and bacteria.

    Reversible wand
The wand reverses to reach awkward areas more easily and with a better grip. Tools click-fit to the end of the wand to give more options for cleaning high or hard-to-reach places.

    Motorized brush bar
Stiff nylon bristles spin at up to 90 times per second to agitate carpet pile and dislodge ground-in dirt and pet hair. The brush bar can be turned off to protect delicate rugs and hard floors. The button is above the clear bin – no need to bend down to find it.
    Motorised brush bar feature image

    Washable HEPA filter
Dyson cyclones are able to extract microscopic particles including common household allergens such as pollen and mold. But there’s also a HEPA filter as an extra precaution for people with asthma and allergies. It won’t need replacing – just give it a wash according to the instructions that come with the machine.

Ultra-lightweight Dyson Ball vacuum cleaner engineered for powerful pet hair removal.
DC24 Animal is an ultra-lightweight and compact Dyson Ball vacuum cleaner for homes with pets. It uses patented Root Cyclone technology for no loss of suction. Weighing in at just 5.4kg, it's Dyson's lightest upright, and includes a compressible wand so you can store it away more easily. It has a motorised brush bar to remove pet hair and dirt from carpets, and a mini turbine head to clean pet hair and dirt from awkward spaces around the home and car.
DC24 Animal also includes patented Ball technology, which allows you to steer with ease around obstacles such as furniture and household appliances. It rides on a ball, so there's no more pushing back and forth to turn corners.

Ball technology to help you steer with ease

Dyson Ball technology lets you steer with ease
Dyson Ball technology lets you steer with ease.

Have you ever got frustrated pushing an ordinary upright vacuum cleaner back and forth, back and forth to steer around furniture and other obstacles? Have a look underneath it, and you'll see that's because it sits on fixed wheels, perfect if all you want to do is travel in a straight line, but not so good at corners. Frustration is an important source of invention for Dyson engineers, it sparks new ideas, new ways of solving problems. It was their frustration with fixed wheels that led them to develop a new way of turning corners.
Dyson Ball upright vacuum cleaners use patented Ball technology to overcome the steering limitations of fixed wheels. They ride on a ball, which pivots around itself so you can steer with ease, changing direction with just a turn of the wrist. The idea for Ball technology came about from a Dyson engineer studying new ways to steer. It started crudely - an old wand handle attached to a wheel. Eventually the wheel became a ball - and an ideal home for the motor.
The ball itself is made of glass-reinforced polypropylene, the same material used in the manufacture of car dashboards. It combines high impact strength with resistance to distortion. The ball is also where you'll find the motor. By putting the motor inside the ball, at a neutral point, Dyson engineers were able to lower the machine's centre of gravity and improve manoeuvrability even more.

Motorised brush bar for powerful pet hair removal

DC24 Animal has a motorised brush bar for removing dirt and pet hair that have lodged deep inside carpets. The stiff bristles on the brush bar spin at high speeds - up to 90 times per second to agitate the carpet pile and dislodge dirt and pet hair so that it can be vacuumed up and removed. Don't worry if you also have hard floors or delicate rugs the brush bar can be turned off so you can use DC24 Animal on these surfaces too.

Mini turbine head tool to clean pet hair from tight spaces

Pet hairs don't just accumulate on carpets. They also get stuck on upholstery, beneath furniture, on stair carpets, inside your car... Powered by your Dyson vacuum's suction, the mini turbine head tool attaches to the wand to remove pet hair from confined spaces. It lets you get into all those awkward spots you couldn't otherwise reach. You'll find it invaluable to make sure your home and car are free from fur.

    Reversible wand

Despite its compact size, DC24 Animal has a long reach for cleaning stairs and awkward areas. The wand on DC24 Animal reverses to reach out-of-the-way spots more easily and with a better grip. There are no awkward components to assemble, and you can also attach tools and accessories to extend your cleaning abilities even further.

Clear bin lets you see when it needs emptying

The bin on a Dyson vacuum cleaner is transparent so you can see when it needs emptying and just how much dust, dirt and pet hair your new Dyson machine has picked up. Emptying is quick and hygienic just press the button to release the dirt.

    Captures allergens, expels cleaner air

DC24 Animal includes a sealed HEPA (High-Efficiency Particle Air) filter to trap tiny particles as small as 0.1 microns. That̢۪s about the size of a single particle of cigarette smoke. Particles this small include common household allergens such as pollen, mould spores and dust mite faeces.
And because the filter is washable you won̢۪t need to replace it. Just give it a rinse once a month with cold water.

    Approved for allergy sufferers

Dyson upright and cylinder vacuums are approved by 12 allergy associations worldwide, including the British Allergy Foundation (BAF) and Allergie Suisse. Allergie Suisse approval is one of the most stringent in the world. To secure it, vacuums have to provide constant suction and separation performance so that they don't lose effectiveness while you clean.

    No bags to throw away

The bags in ordinary vacuum cleaners clog with dust and dirt, causing a loss of suction. After a while the suction can fall so low you have to replace the bag and throw the old one away. A lot of vacuum cleaner bags these days are made from a mixture of plastic and paper, which means you can't recycle them. Like a lot of waste, they end up in landfill, where they take years to decompose.
With a Dyson vacuum, you can simply detach the clear bin and empty it onto the compost heap. Biodegradable dust and fluff will be broken down naturally into useful fertiliser. With no bags to replace, you won't be adding to the landfill problem.

    No ongoing costs

Other vacuum cleaners are still designed to need replacement bags and filters and the cost soon adds up. Over 5 years. Dyson vacuum cleaners don't need bags and have lifetime washable filters, so there are no extra costs to worry about.
You'd be amazed at some of the tests Dyson carry out on their machines to make sure they're as tough and reliable as possible. During development, a push/pull rig moves Dyson vacuum cleaners a minimum of 5,740,157 feet. The hose is kinked 9,828 times. The bin is opened 1,560 times. Upright vacuum cleaners undergo 212 different validation tests, cylinders 240. That's why Dyson are so confident in their machines they guarantee all their uprights and cylinders for 5 years parts and labour.

Dyson DC39 Multi Floor Vacuum Cleaner

Dyson DC39 Multi Floor Canister Vacuum The DC39 Multi Floor canister vacuum is engineered with Dyson cyclones that capture more dirt than any other. Featuring Dyson’s Radial Root Cyclone™ technology, reconfigured air channels reduce turbulence and preserve air pressure, so the inner cyclones can extract more microscopic particles and expel cleaner air.

Suitable for all floor types, the DC39’s Triggerhead tool is the only turbine head controlled at the handle, so there is no bending down to adjust. A fingertip control switches the brush bar off for delicate rugs and hard floors and switches on for high pick-up on carpets. It also features a detachable handle, which allows you to fit tools directly to the end of the hose, for cleaning in confined places. The included combination tool and stair tool are designed for dusting and removing dirt from corners and vertical edges of stairs. The DC39 is also the only canister vacuum with a central steering mechanism. Combined with Dyson Ball™ technology, the DC39 turns on a dime to give you greater control and easily moves around obstacles. The smooth chassis profile means no rough edges to snag or catch on carpet pile. The clear bin, made from tough polycarbonate, allows you to see when it’s full and empties at the push of a button, minimizing contact with dirt and allergens.

DC39 Multi Floor has a non-removable HEPA filter and no extra costs from bags, belts or filters. The machine carries a 5 year warranty, parts and labor guaranteed by Dyson. And as with all Dyson vacuum cleaners, DC39 Multi Floor has no loss of suction.

    Radial Root Cyclone™ technology
Conventional vacuums rely on bags to trap dust and dirt. But when you start to use some bagged machines, dust can clog the tiny holes in the bag. Some ordinary bagless vacuums work in a similar way. They use a central filter to trap fine dust, which can clog too. Suction drops, leaving dust and dirt behind in your home.
Dyson's patented cyclone technology captures more dirt than any other cyclone. In Radial Root Cyclone™ technology remodeled airflows maximize suction power. Improved flow efficiency reduces turbulence and preserves air pressure, so more microscopic particles are extracted by the inner cyclones. These refinements help remove more dust, allergens and pet hair from the home.

    Engineered for reduced noise levels
Essential components are located inside the acoustically treated ball. The motor is attached to the housing with sound-dampening mounts. Less noise escapes from the airways, and polyurethane sound-insulating materials absorb sound energy.
    Engineered for reduced noise

    Dyson DC39 Multi Floor
Dyson DC39 Multi Floor full-size Dyson Ball cylinder vacuum cleaner for all floor types
    Technical details:
    • Patented Radial Root Cyclone technology for no loss of suction.
    • Musclehead tool – automatically self-adjusts across all floor types.
    • Ball technology – turns on the spot. Central steering mechanism for greater control.
    • Engineered for reduced noise levels.
    • 5 year guarantee – parts and labour.
DC39 Multi Floor is a full-size Dyson cylinder vacuum with Ball technology for greater manoeuvrability. Wheeled vacuums can be awkward – heavy to pull, head the wrong way and collide with obstacles. A Dyson Ball vacuum cleans without the awkward moves, turning on the spot. DC39 Multi Floor also has a central steering mechanism for greater control. The pivot point is located near the centre of the machine, so it can make tighter turning circles and more easily follow the user’s path.
DC39 Multi Floor comes with a Musclehead tool that self-adjusts across all floor types and has a low profile for cleaning under furniture. On hard floors the brushes stay in contact with the floor, removing debris from the surface. When the cleaner head moves onto carpet, the pile agitates a surface recognition switch. This lifts the brushes, exposing the carpet to the dual channel edges that remove dirt trapped within the weave.
Dyson cyclones capture more dirt than any other. DC39 Multi Floor has Radial Root Cyclone technology with remodelled airways to maximise suction power. Like all other Dyson vacuums, DC39 Multi Floor doesn’t lose suction as you clean. There are no bags to replace and the lifetime filters are washable, so there are no extra costs.
DC39 Multi Floor has been engineered for reduced noise levels with no compromise in performance. The essential components are located inside the acoustically treated ball.
    Dyson DC39 Multi Floor
    Patented Dyson technology
Dyson engineers are constantly testing and inventing, trying to find new ways to make their technology work better. As they work, they file patent applications to protect their inventions from copycat manufacturers. That’s why the only place you’ll find Dyson technology is inside a Dyson machine.
DC39 Multi Floor uses the following patented Dyson technology:
    New Radial Root Cyclone technology
Ordinary vacuum cleaners rely on bags to trap dust and dirt. As you use them, the tiny holes in the bag clog up with particles of dust. This restricts the flow of air, so the vacuum cleaner loses suction.
Dyson vacuum cleaners don’t rely on bags to trap dust and dirt. They use cyclone technology, which spins the air at incredibly high speeds. The cyclones inside a Dyson vacuum cleaner generate centrifugal forces many thousands of times the force of gravity. Dust, dirt and pet hair are flung out of the airflow and straight into the bin. No bag. No loss of suction.
Dyson has been continually refining cyclone vacuum technology since inventing it more than 20 years ago. DC39 Multi Floor has new Radial Root Cyclone technology. Reconfigured air channels and improved flow efficiency reduce turbulence and preserve air pressure, so that the inner cyclones can extract more microscopic particles. These refinements help remove more dirt, dust, allergens and pet hair from the airflow.
    DC39 Multi Floor includes:
    Ball technology
Dyson Ball vacuum cleaners use Ball technology to overcome the steering limitations of fixed wheels. They ride on a ball, which turns on the spot so you can steer with ease, changing direction with just a turn of the wrist. The ball also holds the heaviest component (the motor) – positioned towards the base for a lower centre of gravity and greater stability. The machine moves easily around obstacles, and the ball’s smooth surface means that it doesn’t dig into carpet pile.
    Musclehead tool
Self-adjusts across all floor types and has a low profile for cleaning under furniture.
    A central steering mechanism
The only cylinder vacuum with a central steering mechanism for greater control. The cyclone pack articulates with the chassis, so it’s easy to control when moving around obstacles.
Reduced noise levels – ball engineering
No compromise in performance. Essential components are located inside the acoustically treated ball.
    Extra tools
DC39 Multi Floor comes with a Stair tool, and a Combination tool with a debris nozzle that converts to a brush tool for dusting.
Clear bin lets you see when it needs emptying
The bin on a Dyson vacuum cleaner is transparent so you can see when it needs emptying – and just how much dust, dirt and pet hair your new Dyson machine has picked up.
    Captures allergens, expels cleaner air
Dyson cyclones capture microscopic particles down to 0.5 microns in size. DC39 Multi Floor also includes a HEPA filter as an extra safeguard for allergy sufferers. It traps microscopic particles down to 1/5,000 of a pinhead, including pollen, mould and bacteria.
    No extra costs
Other vacuum cleaners are still designed to need replacement bags and filters – and the cost soon adds up. Over 5 years. Dyson vacuum cleaners don’t need bags and have lifetime filters, so there are no extra costs to worry about. Your Dyson vacuum cleaner is likely to take a few knocks and bashes during everyday use – but that’s nothing compared to what Dyson puts its machines through during testing and development. All Dyson vacuum cleaners undergo a lengthy and rigorous testing programme. That’s why DC39 Multi Floor comes with a free 5 year guarantee – parts and labour.

Vax U91-MA-B Air Multicyclonic Upright Bagless Vacuum Cleaner

The Vax Air is the lightest full size multi cyclonic upright vacuum cleaner in the world

    Vax Air Cylinder
Designed in Britain by an iconic British company, the Vax Air vacuum cleaner has all the performance and capacity of a full size upright, but weighs a third less. Building from the ground up, Vax has used precision engineering to reduce the weight of every component, piece by piece. Their goal was to create a powerful, high performance machine in a uniquely elegant and lightweight frame. They succeeded. The Vax Air is the lightest full-size multi cyclonic upright in the world.

Full size performance, a third less weight

Air has all the power, performance and capacity of a full size upright, but without the bulkiness and weight that can make heavier machines such a drag. As it’s so light, it’s easy to carry upstairs and less effort to push across your carpet, so it’s the ideal choice for older people, or for those with back problems.
Air’s compact, slim design and retractable handle means it takes up less space than most uprights, so it’s perfect for modern homes where storage is at a premium.

    Constant, powerful suction

    Vax Air Cylinder
Air has multiple cyclone technology to provide constant suction for powerful, efficient cleaning. The air and dust sucked into the machine spins through a series of cyclones that separate out most of the dust before it reaches the filters, so they don’t get clogged. This ensures that you don’t lose suction as you clean.
Its high-level H12 HEPA filter helps remove pollen and other allergens, making your home a more comfortable place to be, especially if you suffer from allergies.

    Ergonomic Cleaning

    placeholder imageplaceholder image
As Air has a telescopic handle, it’s comfortable for everyone to use – short or tall. It can be adjusted to 8 different heights to achieve the most ergonomic position for vacuuming.
Air has an LED Performance Indicator to quickly alert you of any blockages, so you always know how well it’s performing. The transparent brushbar cover can be quickly removed by releasing two clips, so it’s really easy to clean too.
Air has two cleaning modes so you can switch between vacuuming hard floors and carpets at the touch of a button. Simply switch the brushbar on for carpets and off again for hard floors. A handy 3-in-1 crevice tool, dusting brush and upholstery tool is stored on board the machine, for efficient cleaning all around your home.

The Vax Air cylinder’s market leading 6 year guarantee† gives you complete peace of mind.

Other models in the Vax Air upright range include the Air Pet, which has an anti-bacterial HEPA filter and a TurboTool for removing pet hairs, and the Air Reach, which has an extra long power cord and long stretchy hose. This makes it easy to clean right to the top of your staircase, leaving the machine safely at the bottom.
Designed for bigger, busier homes, the Vax Air Force has more power and double the dust capacity of standard Air uprights. A new range of Vax Air cylinders have all the cleaning performance of a standard sized multi cyclonic vacuum cleaner, in a smaller and lighter package.

    Dyson digital motor
Michael Faraday discovered electromagnetic induction, the principle behind the electric motor, in 1831. Yet, despite being technologically advanced at the time, electric motors have changed very little since. Bulky, old-fashioned components and lots of moving parts prone to failure.
Dyson engineers spent a decade developing new types of highly efficient digital motors. The Dyson digital motor is smaller, lighter, cleaner and more power-efficient than conventional electric motors. Dyson digital motors use digital pulse technology, spinning at up to 104,000 times a minute (five times faster than a racing car engine).

    Telescope Reach™ wand
The wand has been re-engineered to give a longer reach. The wand and hose extend 15.7 ft in total to clean high places and hard to reach areas. Tools click-fit to the end of the wand to give even more cleaning options.

    Hygienic bin emptying
Emptying the bin on a Dyson vacuum is quick and hygienic. Just press the button to release the dirt. The bin is clear, so you can see when it needs emptying – and how much dust, dirt and pet hair the machine has captured. Dyson vacuums were the first to have clear bins – despite market researchers insisting it was a bad idea. Now clear bins are everywhere (though not all are made from the same ABS polycarbonate as riot shields, like Dyson bins).

    One-year washable HEPA filter
Dyson cyclones are able to extract microscopic particles including common household allergens such as pollen and mold. But there’s also a HEPA filter as an extra precaution for people with asthma and allergies. It won’t need replacing – just give it a wash according to the instructions that come with the machine.
